Name change

You can have your name changed at the University of Bonn even before the TSG procedure. All you need is a DGTI-Supplementary-ID-card, which you can then send to the Student Secretariat. For child benefit purposes, it is usually sufficient to send a copy of your DGTI card and your identity card. In addition, the University of Bonn’s student services system offers the option of printing out a data control sheet under ‘Student Services’ and then ‘Notifications/Certificates’. This sheet contains your name, your official name and confirmation that you are studying at the University of Bonn.
